For the homemade barbecue sauce, put all the ingredients in a pot and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Stir frequently, as the sauce sets quickly.

Allow the homemade barbecue sauce to cool and serve or fill into sterile bottles or jars while still hot and seal. Keeps unopened about 3 weeks in the fridge.
